♚ CHARATER NAME: The Rookie (James Dante/J.D.)
♚ SERIES: Halo 3: ODST

☄ First Impressions

♚ VISUAL: Generally has hair dark enough to look black, yet when the light hits it just right reveals it's actually brown in color. Normally tends to keep the style cut short in regular military fashion, but lately he's gotten a bit more lax about keeping it neat. So usually it tends to be very messy, unkempt and often lies somewhere between helmet hair and I-just-woke-up-and-said-screw-it for the most part. The color of his eyes is a very light brown (aka amber), and physically speaking he's got the body of a young marine. Also has his fair share of battle scars and plasma burns that reflects the current situation of his universe.

Directly center and between his shoulder blades, he also has the emblem of the ODSTs tattooed on his skin in black ink.

♚ FASHION: When not in armor, his general range of color tends to be very dull and militaristic. Mostly gray, silver, and black, with the occasional red to 'spice it up a bit'. examples: X | X | X

♚ DEMEANOUR: In armor or out of it, Rookie always seems to have this underlying confidence. One that borderlines to optimism, at times, and generally speaking he's very rarely the type to back down if it's something important. Though normally quiet, there's an almost playful mischief that seems to peek through his military demeanor - and he's oddly expressive for someone who's face is rarely seen. Primarily in the way he moves and gestures, as he realizes that armor can sometimes dehumanize and cause people to forget there's actually a person under all that titanium.

That particular habit carries over when out of armor, but given he's grown used to the protection and secrecy that it gives, there's normally a sense of discomfort and restless whenever around people he doesn't know.

♚ AURAL: Sounds like a generic young marine, but with an indistinguishable foreign twist to it. It's not something that can easily be picked up on, unless he's being really talkative or expressing his words with a lot of emotions involved. It has an almost asian-like feel to it, though, and reflects the general city of where he grew up.

♚ OLFACTORY: He smells strongly of metal, which is no surprise when considering his normal 'attire' and how often he handles weaponry. Given that he's pretty good about bathing and keeping clean - 'cause well, he can get pretty sweaty under all that gear - there's normally a very neutral smell of soap and deodorant on him as well.

♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: He's never really had to deal with psychics or anything along those lines (magic castle not counting), so his defense for those proficient in that area is probably very low. In that he'd have no way of keeping anyone out, if they were trying to interact with his mind directly.

He does tend to be very guarded, however, about anything involving his personal life. So it'll probably be far more difficult to gain information on what his life was like prior to being apart of the military, since he's just naturally accustomed to keeping that part secret.

Given the neural interface at the base of his skull as well, anyone who happens to be capable of manipulating his mind well enough - could also effect his armor's VISR systems. Like deleting information, recording a video or audio, etc. etc.

♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: None. He's just a regular, everyday human.

☄ OOC

♚ BACKTAGGING: Always up for it. Pretty lax about people taking their time, too, though sometimes my motivation can waver if it's been more than a month. But that completely depends on the thread.

♚ FOURTHWALLING: For right now, I'm quite okay with people recognizing him from the game or series. Just not with the whole 'we're all fictional characters and there's someone controlling your actions behind a screen' kind of level - unless it's dear-mun and dear-player, obviously.

♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Feel free to do whatever, since it's your character and what they do ICly is something I'm not going to complain about. Only thing that I will mention is that depending on what's done and whether or not he gets along with said person, will also effect Rookie's reaction. Usually he'll never go straight to violence - but if he's uncomfortable and isn't given his personal space when he's requested it and showed obvious signs of disinterest - he will lash out in some way. More often than not by physically shoving or pushing the person away from him, sometimes even straight up punching them.

Otherwise, if he's friends or gets along well with your character, chances are he'll either be extremely uncomfortable or fairly relaxed.

♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: I'm completely and totally okay with physical violence and things. Give me all the fist fights, showdowns, intense battles, etc. Rookie's a solider through and through, and he's not above the occasional brawl when tempers flare and his better sense of judgement gets thrown out the window. He's not perfect either, and I always enjoy tossing him into something that lets me play more into his military side.

But depending on how far he's pushed, he won't be above using his weaponry or the environment, to otherwise harm/injury or kill a character that doesn't know when to quit. Even more so if he considers you an enemy.

♚ RELATIONSHIPS: At the moment I'm tentative about shipping him. I'm not completely against it, but I like to have characters develop and grow to the point where the idea of it is plausible (and he's had one amazing ship already), so there's quite a bit of resistance muse-wise about the idea of having him with anyone. More so since he doesn't easily open himself up to others, and is often very guarded about letting his barriers down - to the point where someone has to actually push him into revealing more about himself.

So for now, it's possible, but very difficult.
